Crime Blotter, 4/1-4/3: Large Man with Mullet Won't Leave Bar

Excerpts from the San Mateo Police Department's daily call log.

Friday

12:27 a.m. - Disturbance - Someone was sleeping at the rear of an apartment complex, at the end of the driveway, on the 100 block of East Poplar Avenue.

10:43 a.m. - Domestic Dispute - A couple got into verbal dispute on the 100 block of North Delaware and a baby was involved.

3:12 p.m. - Brandishing Weapon - Someone was pointing a gun at a man near Marina Court and Day Avenue. Suspect was wearing a pink shirt and had black hair, but was gone when police arrived. 

6:04 p.m. - Disturbance - A disagreement between two neighbors on the 3000 block of Alameda De Las Pulgas led to one threatening to break his neighbor's wife's face. The neighbor also threatened to burn the man's house down.

8:04 p.m. - Suspicious Person - A male, roughly 30 years old, wearing a white tank top and brown pants, was pacing up and down the 1800 block of Helene Court with a pair of headphones on his ears.

10:24 p.m. - Disturbance - A group of juveniles were partying loudly on the 200 block of Castilian Way, going back and forth between the house and their cars. The reporting party was worried they might eventually drive drunk.

Saturday

12:50 a.m. - Battery - Someone was jumped by a group of people on the way home on the 200 block of Castilian Way.

3:08 a.m. - Robbery - A group of people assaulted someone on the 100 block of 36th Avenue and tried to take the person's money.

9:31 a.m. - Hit-and-Run - Someone driving a black BMW with no plates hit another car on the 1500 block of West Hillsdale Boulevard and then stayed parked next to the car.

12:15 p.m. - Stolen Vehicle - An unknown suspect stole a black 2009 Lincoln from the 1100 block of Park Place. The owner last saw the car roughly 24 hours before the crime.

2:20 p.m. - Theft - Right before the person called police, three people approached the person's home on the 3200 block of Glendora Drive and said they were from PG&E. The homeowner then found things missing.

2:52 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - An unknown person entered another person's home on the 1500 block of Edinburgh Street, but didn't take anything.

6:14 p.m. - Auto Burglary - An unknown suspect broke into a silver Acura on the 300 block of Hillsdale Mall. The owner was waiting for police after the call.

9:10 p.m. - Fraud - An unknown suspect tried to pass a fake check at an establishment on the 2200 block of Bridgepointe Parkway and left an identification behind during the process.

Sunday

1:18 a.m. - Disturbance - Police arrested someone with a pocketed handgun near a movie theater on the 300 block of Second Avenue.

2:09 p.m. - Residential Burglary - Someone broke into a home on the 1400 block of Royal Avenue.

7:17 p.m. - Public Intoxication - A group of teenagers were reportedly drinking hard booze with soda in an alley near the 800 block of Humboldt.

8:29 p.m. - Domestic Disturbance - A neighbor told police that a couple downstairs on the 1300 block of Palos Verdes Drive was arguing, throwing things around, and that a child was crying.

10:59 p.m. - Disturbance - A man in his late 40s, weighing roughly 300 pounds and sporting brown glasses, a mustache and a mullet, was refusing to leave a bar on the 100 block of East 25th Avenue and causing a disturbance.
