Color Me Mine Halloween Costume Swap Comes to the Peninsula

Swap last year's kid's costumes for new-to-you costumes this year.

Want to be "green" and save some dollars this Halloween?

Then recycle last year's Halloween costume and in exchange, get another one for free.

For the first time on the Peninsula, San Mateo County residents are invited to the Spook-tacular Halloween Costume Swap at Color Me Mine in Daly City.

Color Me Mine is a paint-it-yourself ceramics franchise studio chain with nearly 140 locations in operation in 26 U.S. states and 10 countries around the world. During the month of October, Color Me Mine hosts a children's Halloween costume swap at various locations.

"The Halloween Swap was a huge success for us last year at our Alameda studio so we want to bring it to the Peninsula community," said Daly City Color Me Mine owner Mike Berkowitz.

So this is how it works: The Color Me Mine Daly City team will be collecting costumes now through Oct. 12 until 4 p.m. so come by the studio and drop off last year’s costume (in relatively good condition, no holes or tears). For each costume you bring in, you will receive a voucher good for one costume. You’ll also get a complimentary Free Studio Fee coupon. Remember to bring the voucher on Oct. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. to take home a costume that evening.

There are no guarantees that you'll find the exact costume you've been looking for, but you're bound to find something for someone in your family.

No reservations or additional fees necessary. Refreshments will be served.

Color Me Mine of Daly City is located at 445 Westlake Center in Daly City.
