Come out and meet your new best friend!

Rocket Dog Rescue will be at the Whole Foods in Redwood City Saturday from 1pm-5pm with many of our wonderfully special puppies and dogs. Stop by and cuddle with one of our puppies, hold a little guy or pet one of older gals....This holiday season we have rescued an unusually high number of dogs, many of them older souls turned in by their families. We are in need of foster homes, as well as, forever homes for our sweet rescued souls.

We have an urgent need for FOSTER homes! If you are interested please come down to meet us and our dogs and find your next furever friends. Any little help you can give makes a big difference!

All sorts of dogs are available for adoption, big dogs, little dogs, puppies, purebreds & mutts. All of these dog have been rescued from dire situations at animal shelters and other sad situations. Most of these dogs would otherwise have been euthanized.

All Rocket Dogs have been spayed/neutered (unless they are too young for the operation), up to date on their shots and micro-chipped. There is an donation required to adopt dogs. All donations go to veterinary and other care for our rescued animals. Rocket Dog rescue is an all volunteer non-profit animal rescue group.

To our foster volunteers, please bring your foster dogs!!!, to our other volunteers, please come if you can, we always need help holding dogs, talking to potential adopters, help with set-up & take down, collecting donations. etc. Thank you.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

I see that I meant to type "...that connect us to the past," but I accidentally typedRead More "...and connect us to the past." I think my meaning came through, though. Yes, the world does not need another national chain retail store or restaurant, which is surely what they're planning to put in there.

Yes Bren, agree with you....good point.....really what it seems to come down to is money vs. theRead More good of the community and richness of traditions. And all despite the Master Plan for that site in San Mateo that seems to require an ice skating rink or similar recreational facility AT THAT SITE, and all despite the fact the Ice Chalet would like to continue operations there. The Developer has made it difficult to impossible for any ice rink to operate there (tricky it seems)....so they can get a cookie cutter retail outlet in ? .....very, very sad for the youth of the community.

I think the issue is much larger than whether children will experience stress. That ice rink is aRead More local institution, dating back at least to when Fashion Island was there. It's terrible for communities to lose so many landmarks and connect us to the past.

Dear Ari, Thank you for your service to our community. It's wonderful that you are already making aRead More difference.
