Lenten Spiritual Practice – Embracing the Spirituality of Imperfection

During the Lenten season our focus is in preparing for the mystery that is Easter. Often we talk about the practice of spiritual disciplines as a way of getting ready, but we all usually fall short of our goals. In the book, The Spirituality of Imperfection, authors Kurtz and Ketcham offer us attainable, realistic and enjoyable ways of embracing our limitations while still finding paths to inner peace and contentment.

Join Pastor Laura on Monday nights during Lent as we explore ways of accepting our imperfections while seeking a deeper connection to God.

All are welcome, but this class will especially resonate with parents of our youth and children. The book will be used in our discussions, but buying it and reading it is optional - the focus on our class is accessible, real life spiritual practice after all!

Childcare will be provided, so please indicate your interest in having childcare so we know how many kids will be there.

We will gather weekly in the Fireplace Room on Mondays beginning Feb 25th through March 18 from 7 to 8PM. Won't you consider joining us?

For more information about the class, please email Pastor Laura at lbarnesconey@ccsm-ucc.org. Sign up online at http://130225_Lent.eventbrite.com. Free event.
