San Mateo Tamales Business Shut Down for Health Violations

Homemade Tamales at the corner of Saratoga and West Hillsdale Blvd. in San Mateo San Mateo has been closed due to alleged health violations.

The San Mateo County Health System closed the facility on May 20.
According to the health department, the reasons for the closure were:
1. Potentially hazardous foods held at a temperature that encourages growth of harmful bacteria.
2. Food not in good condition, safe and unadulterated.
3. Food not obtained from approved sources.
4. Operating without a vaid health permit.
