CAMS: The Night-time Survey of Meteor Showers

Free; If you ever spend a night under the stars watching for meteors and saw something unusual, you may want to meet astronomer Dr. Peter Jenniskens. He’s an expert on meteor showers and author of Meteor Showers and their Parent Comets, a 790 page book containing predictions on what unusual meteor showers to expect in the next 50 years. Dog Adoption Fair

10 a.m. Pet Club 1850 S Norfolk St, San Mateo


Shelter Dogs Needing Homes  is a  having an adoption fair at Pet Club located at 1850 South Norfolk Street  in San Mateo on every Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.  There are a variety of adorable dogs  to see from Poodles to Bichon Frieses. Spring Concert for Children and Families

Noon; College of San Mateo 1700 W Hillsdale Blvd, San Mateo

The concert is in celebration of children, their families and springtime. All proceeds go directly to benefit the Child Development Center. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for students and free for children under 13 years old. The event will include children's activities and drawing prizes. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket, picnic lunch or they may purchase lunch from the on-site Taquero. Beverages will be provided.
