Nominate the Best Place to Get Your Car Fixed in San Mateo

Let us know the best place to get your car fixed in San Mateo so we can put it to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

Where can you find the best place to get your car fixed in San Mateo?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone else who knows about San Mateo, to nominate the best spots on San Mateo Patch.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

PS: Sign up for the San Mateo Patch newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite local business in the Readers' Choice contest.

Bob Reed's Auto Service, 1641 Palm Ave (behind Safeway store). This is what service stations used to be in the 50's and 60's. This family run business has retained the name "service" in their operation. Where else can you go for gasoline and have a mechanic available to check out that "odd noise" under the hood or check the engine oil level. Their gasoline prices may be a few cents more than the big self-serve stations but you also won't need to sit in line for 15 minutes waiting to refuel. I also found them to be excellent in all of the mechanical repair work I've had them perform; everything from patching a leaky tire to replacing a transmission. Highly recommended!
