Calling, downloading apps and surfing the web will hopefully be easier and faster in 2013 for residents and travelers in San Mateo County, thanks to new Verizon Wireless cell sites in Menlo Park, Pacifica and Redwood City.
The sites should improve coverage in the following areas:
- Menlo Park: Bay Road, Middlefield Road and Marsh Road
- Pacifica: Oddstad Boulevard and Park Pacifica Avenue
- Redwood City: Northern area of Seaport Boulevard
Since 2000, Verizon has invested more than $70 billion on increasing the coverage and capacity of its network, and to add new services, the company said in a statement last week.
The network upgrade "is part of the company's ongoing investment to keep improving and strengthening" its network, the statement indicated.
