The men’s quadruple sculls crew of Derek Johnson (Hillsborough, Calif.), Hans Struzyna (Kirkland, Wash.), Andrew Gallagher (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Ryan Shelton
(Wrightwood, Calif.) fell short of advancing in their division at the World Rowing Championships in South Korea on Sunday.
The U.S. finished
fourth in 5:58.31 and will row in the reps Tuesday.
Croatia won the heat in
Johnson, a Yale grad, is training in hopes of rowing in the 2016 Olympic Games.
