Aragon wins Lions Tournament

The Aragon High boys basketball team beat host Burlingame, 67-49, to win the championship of the Burlingame Lions Club Tournament on Friday.

Alex Manu scored 20 points to lead the Dons, who have won six of their first seven games, and was named the tournament MVP.

At the De La Salle boys' basketball tournament, Serra High dropped a 53-48 decision to Deer Valley in the semifinal.

Jacqui Biggins scored 18 points for the Padres, who are 2-1 on the season.

And all despite the Master Plan for that site in San Mateo that seems to require an ice skating rink or similar recreational facility AT THAT SITE, and all despite the fact the Ice Chalet would like to continue operations there. The Developer has made it difficult to impossible for any ice rink to operate there (tricky it seems)....so they can get a cookie cutter retail outlet in ? .....very, very sad for the youth of the community.
