Among all the supporters isn't there one competent attorney who can get an injunction to keep the…Read More rink from being destroyed and who can sue SPI Holding, and if necessary the City, to enforce the Master Plan Agreement? A toilet and an astro turf field are useless to ice skaters. I smell something rotten in the Mayor and the City Council's excuses. At least one skater must have a parent or family member who is an attorney with some sense of decency to do the work pro bono.

To close the ice rink is a crime. I had this conversation years ago with Peter Pau, the man who…Read More built it. We need places for children to recreate. When we send them to juvenile hall, we wring our hands and wonder why! No skate board parks in convenient places and now the skating rink. Why are our children the ones to sacrafice?

Yes Bren, agree with you....good point.....really what it seems to come down to is money vs. the…Read More good of the community and richness of traditions. And all despite the Master Plan for that site in San Mateo that seems to require an ice skating rink or similar recreational facility AT THAT SITE, and all despite the fact the Ice Chalet would like to continue operations there. The Developer has made it difficult to impossible for any ice rink to operate there (tricky it seems)....so they can get a cookie cutter retail outlet in ? .....very, very sad for the youth of the community.

I see that I meant to type "...that connect us to the past," but I accidentally typed…Read More "...and connect us to the past."
I think my meaning came through, though. Yes, the world does not need another national chain retail store or restaurant, which is surely what they're planning to put in there.

Kizomba. Sounds more African than Latin. Who knowa, this may last or go away as fast as the Lambada.…Read More I remember when salsa was just a type of music. Some people say there is no such dance as the salsa. It is like jazz, There is jazz music and you may go to a dance studio to learn jazz dancing, but you don't go into a dance studio and say. "I want to learn the jazz,"

Kizomba has nothing LATIN in it. It is an African dance.
It comes from the mix of Semba (yeah not…Read More samba, in fact samba comes from Semba) and Caribbean zouk. Not going to call out all the other fake facts it this article. You should check your facts before lying to your costumers.

As with other club dances originating outside the United States, numerous cultures, countries,…Read More musical genres and dance styles have shaped today's Kizomba. We recognize the African origins in this dance, as well as African contributions to others. Dance styles evolve and influences expand over time. Based on the strong similarities with popular Latin dances currently seen at local dance clubs, our dance studio has classified Kizomba as something one would do at a Salsa or Bachata club.

Hi, we had my daughter's wedding dress cleaned and boxed just after her wedding and put the box…Read More away for several days before deciding to peek at it just one more time, took the outer box off and peered into the "window" and we're astonished to see it wasn't her dress at all!!! Brides/Moms. Be sure to check to see that the cleaners give you the correct dress!

Hi! Wow, that must have been so stressful! It is important to take your gown to someone that does…Read More everything on site, and is hands on with the bride. I offer the option to view before preservation, as well as the option to be present while I preserve the gown. I also work directly with every bride and handle all of the gowns myself, to ensure nothing goes wrong throughout the process. I hope you were able to get your daughters gown back!
