Hundreds of dogs strutted their stuff at the 17th annual Mutt Strut at Coyote Point Park in San Mateo on Saturday.

The event raises money and awareness for shelter animals at the Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA awaiting adoption.

In addition to the $28 registration fee, the humane society encouraged participants to collect pledges and handed out $100, $200, $300, $400 and $600 prizes, as well as a night’s stay at pet-friendly Stanford Inn in Mendocino for the top fundraiser.
