San Mateo Police Arrest Suspects Linked to Multiple Burglaries

The suspects, two juvenile teens and a 18-year-old man, are believed to have committed at least seven burglaries in San Mateo.

Three suspects believed to have committed at least seven burglaries in San Mateo were arrested Sunday, San Mateo police said Monday evening.

The suspects, 13- and 15-year-old boys, and 18-year-old Salvador Gonzalez of San Mateo, were arrested around 6:40 p.m. after police responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress in the 200 block of Woodbridge Circle.

Due to the recent increase in local burglaries, a rapid response plan for in-progress burglaries was in place, and Patrol Officers immediately saturated the area, San Mateo Police Sgt. Dave Norris said.

San Mateo Detectives are following up on the alleged actions of these suspects and have linked them to at least seven other San Mateo burglaries, Norris said. They are continuing to investigate any connections to additional crimes.
